About Me

I am a writer and journalist living in the Algarve for fifteen years, I am in a unique position to give you a ceremony that will reflect not just your love, but the beauty and soul of this fabulous region.

As the editor of a local community magazine, I love discovering local people with inspiring stories to tell. I am passionate about words, the power they have to communicate a message or make us laugh and cry. Now I want to tell your story.

I have a BA Hons degree from Leeds University in English Literature and Language.

My career started in PR and Marketing in London. On moving to the Algarve in 2003 I became involved in property and worked for several International property companies before returning to what I love most - writing.

I am currently a junior associate for the Hoxby Collective, a global community of 450 freelancers in 29 countries, each adopting their own workstyle. As part of this community, I have worked as an editor on a large project for Unilever.

I hold a Certificate of Celebrancy with distinction from Heart-led Ceremonies Celebrant Training. England’s most comprehensive and practical training course led by a celebrant with 25 years of experience. Course Leader Veronika Robinson is Vice President of The Association of Independent Celebrants. Unlike some training organisations, their certificates are issued on aptitude, not attendance.
